Hi everyone,

I´ve had my sim card and cell for 2 years. Recently, my texts are taking longer to send, but inconsistently. Some days, I won´t have any problems, and others--today--some are taking up to 1.5 hours to leave my phone. I know this because I always receive a ¨delivered¨ notification when the text is sent. Otherwise, I can see from the ¨Reports¨section that it is ¨pending¨.

Has this happened to any other Claro users? I went into a Claro store the other day and they told me to call a number. Nice customer service ;)

Yeah my texts are pretty slow sometimes. I get texts from people like 30 mins after they send it. I know this cause i was at my gfs house and i received a text from her as i was talking to her. Sometimes my text are not even sent too. I dont even bother calling or complaining it honestly. They will just give you some bs. The best way to show your anguish is to switch companies. You should be able to keep your same number.
 
Do you think it´s exclusively a Claro problem? Did you switch to another with better results?

I have Claro and tried to change to Movistar but they told me to wait until some unspecified date in mid-March before I can bring my number over to a new 'pre-pago'. The problem is that my texts sometimes take up to 12 hours to get to their recipients. My phone claims its sent, but when I don't hear back, I give up and call the person, then they respond to a text many hours later, confused and out of context. Hopefully this won't happen when I move to Movistar. Also since I don't plan to get a contract, I want to take advantage of the 60 pesos of credit for 30 pesos spent deals that I see at a locutorio on my way to the bus. I used to get these kinds of promotions through text messages from Claro, but they never worked when I tried them. :(
