Perhaps you have no idea how women were treated in the 50's 60's 70's 80's 90's and NOW?

Since the post i quoted referred specifically to Presidents of the United States as well as the subject of "treating women like garbage" and you only mentioned the 1950’s in that post, I immediately thought of the Presidents Truman and Eisenhower. I never heard anything about either of them treating their wives (or any other women) like garbage. The Presidents who have “treated women like garbage” (in this context, something to be used and discarded) since the 1950’s were JFK, LBJ, and WJBC.
Perhaps I’m not aware how women were treated in the 50’s or 60’s, etc? Well, I was conceived in 1949 and born in 1950. My parents were both 36 at the time. I have one brother who is fourteen months older than I. He has been married to the same woman since 1971. I am sure he has never treated her like garbage and I am even more certain my father never treated my mother like garbage. He never raised his hand to her, and he never raised his voice to her, either. He didn’t have to. He was not a timid man and she was not a timid woman. Their common values made it unnecessary. Both of my parents were strong supporters of FDR, JFK, LBJ, Jimmy Carter, and WJBC.
My mom was a “stay at home” mother. Does this mean she was treated like garbage? She certainly never thought so. My mother could have worked if she had wanted to. She was a certified teacher (University of Northern Iowa). She met my dad in the early 1940’s when he was the principal of the high school in Clarion, Iowa and she was a teacher. After my brother and I were born, our mother never again worked full time. She occasionally did some substitute teaching after my brother and I were in school full time, but she never needed or wanted a career of her own. She didn't believe that a "woman's place is in the home" but believed that
her place was in
her home. Nonetheless, she was very active in the community, especially in the fight against pornography.
I have previously said that I don’t like Trump, but my dislike for him has nothing to do with
his "ALLEGED" behavior or recorded sexist comments (including bragging about cheating). If he becomes President I seriously doubt he will do anything like JFK, LBJ, or WJBC (have sex with "other" women) while in office, especially
in the Oval Office. Of much greater concern is the future of all women, as well as all and men and children in the United States. I am referring to the possibility of a war with Russia that could literally (and quickly) go nuclear.
Unless something horrific happens in the next three weeks, either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton will become the next President of the United States. One of them has expressed a desire to get along with Russia. The other has threatened (if not promised) a military response against with Russia if that country perpetrates a cyber attack. That’s amazing talk coming from someone who used an insecure server while holding the office of Secretary of State. She has even said that if she is elected President that she
will attack Iran.
Many Americans are unaware of this because it has not been reported in the "mainstream" media, but there is no doubt that these are things she has said:
