: Surprise, We completely agree.After spending most of the month of Sept. in the US and speaking with a broad spectrum of family and friends I tend to agree wth you and Joe Kliein of Time magazine who said on 9/26,"Most people are doing O.K. in this society.......'They don't buy "society is against me' excuses¨" He says that Hillary is" an unhappy warrior in a country that,contrary to the prevailing blather, is not an unhappy place"..

A little gloomy re: the US,,aren't we? I'm a smidgen spooked by what's happening next door in your Brazil and Temer´s interview with BA's La Nacion didn't help.A proposal to freeze government spending for 20 years ( luckily they pushed that up until 2018) including health and education without considering population growth? Really? What about the reform of the hugely unsustainable retirement and pension system? Shades of the Wahington Consenus or even Operation Condor??

I doubt he can win now, yet I wonder which the voters would find less desirable in a President: a man who said he could get away with groping women because he was a star or a woman who aggressively defended a man who "allegedly" groped and raped women because he was a governor and a president?

The best thing that could happen now for the Republican party (if they see Trump's poll numbers plummet), is to get him to step aside and nominate Pence.

The next debate is Tuesday.

If he does step down as the nominee, the Republicans will probably do something incredibly stupid (as well as ironic) and nominate another Bush.*

One way or another, the next month is going to be very entertaining.

* The RNC can nominate whoever they want.
