You guys are funny, no drama, thank goodness. That's for the forum.
One of the most common comments from attendees is that they were apprehensive to attend because of the nature of posts and frequently negative associated responses on the forum, thinking it would be the same at Coffee Chats. I even met some friends of friends while out with said friends last week who knew about "Coffee Chat" and were surprised that we go regularly.
Many seem to anticipate it's an extension of the forum with politically charged discussion or discussion combat training. Unfortunately, the cafes we visit aren't equipt for bodyslams and piledrivers, and we must leave that for the forum.
Recently some forum drama have been topics of discussion, but typically people just want to talk with others about what they're doing around BA, meet new people who they can hang out with, ask questions about personal travel or living experiences here and other countries, etc.
The use of "friendlies" was a bad choice on my part left for assumptions, oopsies. Just meant the unfriendly seeming behavior I'm asked about frequently does not occur but once in a great while (twice in 8 months of twice a week meetings) and 50% of the time ends with that politically charged person getting the point from the other attendees.
