Rich - two yrs ago our return trip to BA from Colonia wasn't the smoothest ride; I would estimate 30 mph winds with 5-7' waves - for a 30 year Navy/Coastguardsman - a typical day at sea; but for someone who rarely, if iever, ventures out onto the briny sea (ok River/Bay) I saw a lot of green faces that day! That night on the Coast Guard cutter wasn't the worst; imagine seas and winds big enough to bounce an aircraft carrier around like a cork!

You got that right the power is amazing once the waves get over a 3 feet which is not much and when you hit 10 feet or more with wind the power is incredible.
