That's probably the starting required salary for Malibu, Beverly Hills, and much of the Hollywood hills. You could probably get by on a little less in Compton, Watts, and Corona.

Likewise Bel Air. Just came back from a weekend with friends who live in Los Feliz, which probably falls very slightly below most of the above. Pasadena, Venice and Santa Monica very attractive, probably comparable to Los Feliz. Compton and Watts substantially lower, along with parts of the San Fernando Valley. Parts of areas like like Culver City would be reasonable places to live and economically affordable.
