The CABA Police and the City Public Prosecutor's Office raided and disrupted a gang that manufactured and trafficked false masks of the Atom-Protect (Conicet) brand. The operation required five raids and ended with eight detainees. According to judicial sources, it was a derivation of the operations that began in June, in which five other people who were in possession of 50,000 counterfeit masks were arrested. Also found were masks of the brands ION POSITIVO, KN-95, 3M and PROTECTIVE MASK that were falsified....
....One way to recognize, if the mask being sold as Atom-Protect is original, is by the quality of the fabric. It will feel more rigid due to the chemical processes to which it is subjected to obtain antiviral properties. Also the letters where the logo appears are sharper than in the fake ones. To avoid scams, the recommendation is to always buy them in recognized places or directly from the manufacturers.

According to this 58% of the total population of Argentina now has at least one dose and 20% fully vaccinated. 13.4% of adults and 28.65% of minors have not received any vaccine. Globally an estimated 30.7% of all people have received at least one dose and 16% are fully vaccinated.

Of the 6.000.000 unvaccinated adults, 50% are under 30. 34% are between 30-49 and 16% are over 50.

According to the vaccine dashboard, we can see trends in provincial performance sustained as:
  • Percentage of the population with at least one dose: 1. CABA (68%) 2. Catamarca (62,8%) 3. La Pampa (62,4%) For comparison PBA is 58,5%.
  • Percentage of the population fully vaccinated: 1. La Pampa (31,7%) 2. CABA (31,5%) 3. San Luis (29,2%) For comparison PBA is 18,52%.
  • Application of doses received to date: 1. CABA/ San Luis/ La Pampa (100%) 2. Santa Fe (96%) 3. La Rioja (95%) For comparison PBA is 87%.
