Russia-Ukraine war: PAHO (Pan American Health Organization) delivered bad news on Sputnik V vaccine approval. What will happen to those who received this vaccine and have limited travel options. Some 11 million Argentines received it....According to what was confirmed to Clarín by PAHO, there will be no news about Sputnik until the war is over. At least, until the conditions are right for a group to travel to Russian soil and inspect not only the sanitary aspect that made noise before, but also to check if the war conflict affected the product that goes into those injections, which are still being applied in our country today....

Ciudad y Provincia ya aplican la cuarta dosis contra el Covid: quiénes la reciben

El "refuerzo del refuerzo" ya comenzó a darse en grupos específicos. Qué pasa en el resto del mundo.

City of BA and Province of BA are already applying the fourth dose against Covid: who will receive it? Up to now, 38% of the population has received the third dose of the Covid vaccine in ARG. As an additional dose or as a booster, it has been proven that this injection is necessary to be protected more with the arrival of autumn and an eventual increase of coronavirus infections....two specific groups: immunosuppressed (due to autoimmune disease, transplants or oncology treatments) and those over 50 who received the first and second doses of Sinopharm will receive it. What happens for the rest? While in the world science is still debating the efficacy of a fourth dose and whether or not there will be an annual vaccine against Covid, the National Immunization Commission (CoNaIn) confirmed to Clarín that, due to the current epidemiological situation, there will be no fourth doses for the rest of the Argentine population in the immunization planning horizon. The National Ministry of Health told this newspaper that "there is no national or international scientific evidence to move forward with second boosters for everyone"....

Salud anunció la cuarta dosis para que los inmunizados con Sputnik V puedan viajar | La fórmula rusa aún no fue autorizada por la OMS

Aquellas personas que recibieron la tecnología diseñada por el Centro Gamaleya podrán acceder a un cuarto pinchazo si justifican la necesidad del viaje. La decisión se toma porque Argentina cuenta con el stock suficiente.

As announced by the Minister of Health Carla Vizzotti, those people who have to travel abroad and received two doses of Sputnik as an initial scheme plus a booster with a dose of another vaccine platform, will be able to access the fourth dose. This decision enables individuals in this group to travel to countries that do not accept the Russian technology because it has not been authorized by the WHO. As part of the procedure, those who choose to do so must present a ticket, comply with the minimum intervals between doses and justify the need to travel: work, personal, humanitarian, religious, study or recreational reasons. They must -additionally- sign an informed consent form in order to make it clear that this is a personal decision and not a health recommendation....

Cuarta dosis: Carla Vizzotti anunció que se la aplicarán a vacunados con Sputnik que viajen al exterior

La titular de la cartera sanitaria explicó que la cuarta dosis solo puede ser aplicada a los mayores de 50 años vacunados con Sinopharm y a las personas inmunocomprometidas, salvo esta nueva excepción que permite que quienes estén vacunados con Sputnik la reciban para poder viajar.

....With the increase of Influenza A (subtype H3N2) Virus, the National Ministry of Health had announced on Wednesday 15 that the distribution of 1,120,000 doses of anti-influenza vaccines among the 24 jurisdictions will begin in the first days of next week, and therefore established recommendations for the imminent vaccination campaign.

When asked about the impact of the early advance of the virus, Vizzotti clarified: "The 2009 Influenza A pandemic was the same as now, a new virus emerged that spread from person to person, now it has become seasonal. Now influenza A and B are circulating, what we have to talk about is influenza. Because now it is here ahead of schedule by several months, when it should start in April or May. Cuarta dosis: Carla Vizzotti anunció que se dará un segundo refuerzo de la vacuna contra el coronavirus

La ministra de Salud afirmó que comenzarán a aplicarla a grupos de riesgo, personal de salud, de seguridad y docentes. Además, los partes de casos y fallecidos dejarán de ser diarios y pasarán a ser semanales.

....Carla Vizzotti, National Health Minister, announced on Wednesday that a second booster of the vaccine against the coronavirus will be applied, which in practice will represent for most of those who receive it a "fourth dose" since the immunization campaign began....The first to receive the second booster will be health personnel, people 50 years of age or older, people over 12 years of age with risk conditions, security forces and teachers. "If you are part of these groups, you have already received your initial scheme and 4 months have passed since your first booster, you will be able to receive the second one as soon as it is defined by your jurisdiction", said the Minister....In the case of close contacts of a positive case, quarantine is not indicated. Instead, it is recommended that they avoid contact with vulnerable persons and that they maximize preventive measures...In the last few days, Fernán Quirós, Minister of Health of the City of BA, warned about a possible new wave of the disease. He explained that there may be an increase in the number of Covid cases in the coming weeks, due to the change of season and the arrival of colder temperatures.
