Cristina To Imf: Go To Hell (?)

Unfortunately, the Argentine Government have this ability of turning whatever would be shameful to any other country into a badge of honour. They will milk this for domestic consumption. All of the Country's problems can now be blamed on external agencies. Financial crisis- Blame the IMF !

Well, when Russia follow the MFI policy, they had crisis. As soon as they sent them to hell, the economy raised.
And the same we can say about any other country.
In fact, Argentina is looking for being out of the MFI supervision, that´s why NK paid cash the whole debt with the MFI.
Regards

Telling the truth and following the instructions of the IMF are non directly linked activities.

Same story different spin

FT line is that nothing much will happen until January and don't expect much after that. Argentina isn't going to get kicked out of anything much for a while - implies we are into new territory for the IMF and they arnt going to be throwing people out of the club if there isn't unanimity.
Hark the sounds of mutual alliance building going on with China over the new Dagong Credit Rating Agency who opine “the western rating agencies are politicised and highly ideological and they do not adhere to objective standards

Despite some ex USA Under Secretary of State doing his best to stir the pot (has he a hot-line to BS EXPATS?)

In a world of overlapping interests dont forget Argentina has a position (for a few years) on the UN Security Council - in realpolitik that is some real clout.

Interesting, but the author forgets some simple concepts that CFK has very clear: a country is not a person because its has sovereignty. That´s why you can win 10.000.000 trials in foreign Courts and nothing happens. Guess what? Nothing happens. (NYC is different because those bonds gave up sovereignty and accepted the jurisdiction of the NYC Court. Only a useless as De La Rua can do something like that)

Interesting the comments about Greece. Did you Know that when Russia sent to hell the IFM, it was with the advice of argentinian economists?

The Repsol comments are unaccurare. They didn´t invest according to the contract, instead of that they produced less and imported more to make more proffits. So, they deserved what happend.

He is right about how are interconected economies. What would happend when the US will be unable to pay the debto to China? I guess that´s why nobody wants to take extreme measures with Argentina. It is called Stoppel in International Common Law. In common languaje, it is a boomerang.

Argentina had been as pariah as Iran for the last 30 years. Why should argentinians worry about the IFM? Remember that Argentina was developing nuclear missiles financed by Irak during the 80´s.

Just my point of wiew.
