Decent clothes for an 11 year old ?

When I read threads like this, I am just reminded how differently we all see the world.

The absolute lowest quality clothes I have bought in Buenos Aires came from Zara- the stuff falls apart after just a few washings. But I am a pretty unusual shopper, especially for a male, and I dont wear much of any of the normal male clothes- sports clothes, warmups, fancy jeans, shorts, polo or rugby shirts, etc.

Meanwhile, the more interesting, small designer stuff I have bought in BsAs has held up quite well- but it was more expensive than Walmart, Zara, or similar cheapo made in China stuff- I have a moral compunction against buying chinese imports, no matter how cheap, if I can possibly avoid it.

As for kids- you might take a trip out to the main clothing neighborhood in Floresta- there is a ten block square area of over 1600 clothing stores, some wholesale, some retail, where you can get very cheap prices on the widest range of clothing. Not imported brand names, though.
