Not sure what position previous governments have taken against travestis, but this law seems to relate to making reparations for past injustices.

The article also says that it applies to just 200 people, presumably number of victims of state oppression can be quantified easily enough.

If all the Transvestite over 40 quit working in the Palermo woods , with this pension..! then many younger ones will show up to retire at 40 with $8000 when the average pensioner gets only $3000 after 65...!!

and desperation? do you know who is the politician with greater acceptance in the country? did you read La Nacion and Clarin this month talking of Kirchnerismo with 40% of votes and the winning without ballotage as the strongest scenario today?

Not necessarily. Many of them resume living like "normal" men, after 40/45 years of age... when they find that they that have lost clients along with lost of youth. Its a very common phenomenon with Transexuals worldwide..

You seem to have a conceptual misunderstanding of what we do here on this forum. It's very simple: we get an article with a tenuous relationship to the truth, just read the headline, and then make sweeping assumptions about the implications.

C'mon people stick with the programme! Skim, assume and extrapolate. It's not that complicated.
