''United the French are invincible"
that's another catchy motto
Can Sarkozy come back and get the votes that would otherwise go to Marine?
Yop, Sarkozy is trying to come back, he must first be chosen as the official candidate of the Right party. Not sure he can manage that. I voted for him in 2007, thinking he would completely reform the country, but in the end, the debt has grown by 800 billion euros during his presidency (if I'm right), he sold gold reserves at the worst time, he's too conflictive, too many corruption scandals as well (it's said in France that Qadafi got shot not to reveal his financing of the Sarkozy election), etc. Also, he decided to join back the NATO and many French (including me) think it's a mistake, etc.
Anyway, I don't think Marine Le Pen can get elected, unless she "sweetens" even more her program.
Hollande is not the right guy to be President (he just got elected because people really didn't want to see Sarkozy anymore). His approval ratings are like 17 or 18%, etc.
There's no "providential" man or woman right now in France who could make the needed reforms.
Maybe this will end up with some kind of Revolution (French tradition), a bloody one as usual. French people are fed up, really.
