Earthquake destroys Christchurch Hundreds feared dead

A large earthquake has destroyed the beautiful city of Christchurch New Zealand with 100s of people feared dead. The very shallow earthquake with a depth of just a few kilometres has wraught devastation on the city centre with many buildings collapsing and many historic churches falling to the ground. The cost of human life is 65 confirmed dead with hundreds still trapped in buildings and under rubble.
