Well since you mention it as I'm here celebrating my3rd year watching the 56 brotherhoods parade their virgins and saint on the backs of the faithful and we still are moved beyond words at the theatre and emotion that is this week but cannot load any image over 1k (which no image accepts as manipulated) I shall just continue to enjoy the beauty of the spectacle that far exceeds that posted by the PO and wish you all a happy Easter. The only word is wow, even for the non-believer.
 
Along with Xmas, the worst of the worst, but I enjoyed the pageantry in Antigua Guatemala.
 
When I first saw the Easter parades in Seville, I definitely thought they were clansmen at first.
 
Those hats have been worn in Spain for around 6 centuries, unfortunately morons like the KKK stole the look. Bit like the Nazis taking the symbol of the swastika from the Hindus.

Yes, agreed, good point (no pun intended).
It wasn't my intention to be disrespectful of the tradition.
