For naturalized citizens the allegiance is explicitly declared when you try to obtain the US citizenship.
I’m not sure about US born citizens as they don’t have to officially state their allegiance to the flag/US gov system.
I’m a bit shocked that both, Trump and Vance have spouses with overseas family ties and fail to understand the silliness of it all…

Thanks for this interesting fact. However, this was a case of giving citizenship to a person instead of taking it away from them.
