I have to go to a conference tomorrow!

I know buses leave often from Retiro, is this the best/fastest way?

MIL GRACIAS :D

I would not take the train either - I did it 15 years ago and even then it was considered a little risky...

The red PLAZA buses - their booth is located right across from the Retiro train station- probably have a "servicio diferencial" (meaning fewer stops).

I did it once taking the Costera bus from Retiro, and it went fine. Well, there were some men playing really loud music from their phones, but my seat was nice!

For if anyone searches for this (for whatever reason in the future)

I took the bus this morning, it was 9 pesos and took just under an hour from Retiro to almost central La Plata. You can buy tickets from stand #5 and they leave quite frequently.

I took the train back, it was 2 pesos and took about an hour and a half and went from central La Plata to Constitucion.

Both trips were uneventful!

Would definitely take the bus over the train (which was painfully painfully slow the two times I took it although I didn't feel threatened at all and it was dirt cheap).
