Hola. Finally we arrived in Argentina last week. Originally from India but stayed for 10 years in US. So far it has been an amazing first week. Though I had read it but was pleasantly surprised about the warmth and welcoming nature of local people. Though we do not know any castellano, it was not as difficult communicating at local grocery stores or with locals in general.
Thank you BAExpats for sharing such insightful information

Come out to the coffee chats. It's a nice way to get introduced to other expats here. Welcome!

If you need the taste of home, I recommend Preeti at MySpice- she is another Indian expat in BA, her husband works in banking. I think she was a banker, too, but now has children at home.
She cooks great, authentic Indian food, you must order in advance. I have not found Indian restaurants in Argentina to be anywhere near as good as her food.
I only know how to contact her on Facebook-

Thank you. Fortunately I am here with my wife and kids and my wife cooks great Indian food. Having said that, we will definitely try Preeti as it will be fun to socialize
