I went today to the Colon ticket office but they had "sold out". I got there at 12.00 so I think they must have had only a few tickets. They told me I must go to the venue on the day concert at 12:00 to pick up my ticket from there. Seems too much of a headache.

I was at the concert on Monday at Colon listening to Horacio Lavandera playing some Bach, Beethoven and Chopin. He was electric and did 5 encores until Teatro Colon put the house lights on full and prevented him from coming out for another encore. I guess they don't want to pay their staff overtime.

I have been trying since I have got here to get tickets for Daniel Barenboim at the Teatro Colon in August. Nada Nada Nada.

I don't list anything except FREE concerts. Just show up at the national library and take the stairs to the first floor for the concert in the Jorge Borges auditorium (250 seats).

The auditorium at Usina del Arte has a capacity of 1,200. By the time you arrived at the Colon box office at noon, they were all handed out.

Hi Jantango,

Do you have a sense for how early to show up tonight, to get into the concert at Usina del Arte? I assume everyone from the party has to be there - i.e. I can't get there early and get two tickets?

Thanks!
Amy

Sunday morning at 11:00am in Puente Alsina (Nueva Pompeya)

Daniel Barenboim and his East-West Divan Orchestra in concert.
Tickets were handed out this morning at the Casa de Cultura. Those with tickets who don't arrive by 10:30 will lose their seats. There is also standing room to hear the concert by this great orchestra.
