Giving up on my iPhone 13

The Iphone 6 was released in 2014. Literal dinosaur technologically now. I had to give up on my S8 from 2017 because I was getting multiple apps malfunctioning due to the outdated OS.

I got an A55 the last time I was in Chile for $350 and it's pretty good for the price. A bit more bulky than I would like and the screen is dimmer but the battery last forever. I would not recommend buying any phone in Argentina price wise.

The port on my IPhone 14 doesn’t work, bought just 18 months ago.

They do it to make you buy the mag safe chargers and EarPods.

My phone charges perfects with the MagSafe magnetic charger

Can you charge anything else with this original iPhone charger, or at least get a 'charging in progress' notification,?
My trusted iPhone 6 got charged with the charger that would not work with the 13.

Must be the phone. Tried cleaning the charger port and now it is charging just to 4%. Then it stops.

My iPhone 6 is, in fact, a dinosaur. But it still works, and it has never let me down.

Long live Tyrannosaurus rex, a.k.a. the iPhone 6.

Good to know that it wasn't just me. I'll get a MagSafe charger.

But I've had it with Apple and their propietary gimmicks. They got too big, and they got too arrogant.

Will switch to a PC and to other brand of cell phone in the future.

Don’t get me started on the battery life!

It had excellent battery duration until an update about 6 months ago.

Before I could go almost two days without charging, now I have to carry my charger around everywhere.

Might be a silly question but Is the port clean inside? You can clean out all the lint that accumulates in there with a paperclip.

Aha, so a MagSafe iPhone charger is a wireless charger. Prices ranging from 18k to 77k on ML. You can probably use any wireless charger, and save some money, but I understand, you want something guaranteed to work.

I would use something non-conductive to clean out the port.

And Apple, for all their undeniable arrogance, have been forced by the EU (yay!!) to use the USB-C connector in their future products.

My battery has been at 78% for months now, no recent update has changed that.

The little apple "lightning" charging slot is fussy and badly designed, and does get linted up, or worn. A mag safe charger is faster, easier, and doesnt wear out.
I am still rocking my old Iphone 10 (XR) and it has two sims in it, so I just have to change the setting on primary line when I land in either the north or the south, and whatsapp works always for both USA and Argentina.
I hate buying new phones, gonna nurse it as long as I can.
plus its the best camera I have ever owned, and its not even good, by today's standards.

Just thinking....my dinosaur iPhone 6's charging port wasn't cleaned in ten nears, and works just fine.

The "more advanced" 13 port had to be professionally cleaned at six months, and it has now stopped working.

Chalk one for the dinosaurs.
