Google Maps Street View Available In Buenos Aires

A friendly denizen of La Boca. Is that Gastón?

Wow, thanks pauper. First time seeing it after I heard about for so long, it doesn't look too bad, I mean, not as crowded as favela in Rio, which i have been to.
It's quite immense for a villa in Capital - most of it you can't see on street view. 21-24 would probably be one of the two most notorious villas in CABA, not as heavy as many porteños would have you believe but probably not a place to go sightseeing like they do in that favela in RIo.

Villa 31 is impressive from the highway.

If nothing else, these street views allow people to see the other side of the highway. :p Palermo/Recoleta seems like going into a different country whenever we head that way. Half of our locality of Loma Hermosa doesn't have street view. (No hay ni lomas y tampoca es hermosa.)

This street isn't too far off from my in-law's business.

Matias harassing passersby trying to recruit new foot soldiers at his local unidad basica? C'mon dude the guy has headphones on - that's a polite way to say I don't give a Héctor José.

I will add as a postscript that I don't actually believe Matias is a Camporista - he is however a compulsive liar who led me to ruin.

Seems a little spooky in a way. I found my building, looked up and could see my third-floor balcony. The date on the Street View label was Jul 2014 and I went through the timeline of photos and indeed my balcony (or very close) was being focused on in Jul 2014...I was probably in the apartment that day and may have stepped out on the balcony...

Just kind of a strange feeling.

I agree. Call me old school, but as much as Google street view is cool, it's also creepy as hell. Although I did immediately go and search for every apartment building I've ever lived in here.

I was glad they did it, I forgot to take a pic of my garden on the balcony and they got it. Makes me sorta homesick like feeling, sometimes I miss BA and my apt...

Well, that didn't take long! It happens to everyone. You manage to leave, you're so thrilled to have finally changed your situation, you swear you won't ever look back...and then you end up missing this godforsaken--but also endlessly delightful!--place. I'm about to leave again, and I figure I've got about six months before I feel that familiar pang. Well, maybe six weeks since I'll be staying with my in-laws until my husband's spouse visa is approved, and it's 40c where they live with no air conditioning... :p
