I live right by where the asentimiento was on Godoy Cruz. All the vecinos are so pleased with the work taking place. I am looking forward to new street lights and a general brightening up of the street so that it feels safe to walk down after dark. The talk is for the government to be building an extention to the science and tech faculty on Paraguay plus 'green space' what and how much exactly remains to be seen but as far as I am concerned it is brilliant news. I would though be interested to know what has happened to the families that were moved out. I know they have been given $11500 pesos over the next 10 months but where exactly have they been taken and what sort of social help is given if any. Any thoughts would be interesting.

Heh, I lived in the building directly across from that on Godoy Cruz and Nicaragua...I rented it for a month, site unseen. That was a nice little surprise. At least the Internet was good.
