I am heading to BA for the first time in late Sept. Just started studying spanish and will take classes there. Rented an apt in San Telmo as sounded like greenwich village in the old days, and being 58 Palermo seemed more geared to the club scene. Enjoying reading the posts as figure to meet people at class, in my apt bldg, join a gym etc, but without good spanish will see how it plays out. Someone mentioned a group where people get together to speak (practice) spanish so be interested in any suggestions. Now for the tricky question. Is the spanish spoken in BA that different from other parts of central and S america or ok to learn it there as figure to pursue mt studies elsewhere down the road. The first beers on me if anyone wants to get in touch once i arrive. Now that's how you meet people
