I am a young-looking, 59 year old, white, female from the USA. I was an RN, but retired at age 50. I presently live in Alabama, but have lived in Texas & also Ohio.
I have lots of questions, because I haven't been to BA, yet. (The closest I've been is Peru.) I'll start with just the following 3 questions.
What neighborhoods do you recommend for a 2 week stay? I'd like to be within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, & clothing shopping. This visit will be for a vacation, but also to begin to consider the possibility of moving to BA.
If a US citizen lives permanently in BA do they still pay the same amount in US federal taxes as if they lived in the US?
If a US citizen gives up their US citizenship do they pay $0 in US federal taxes?
I'd appreciate any info./advice you can provide.
