My name is Parvati. I have been in Buenos Aires for two months now, starting my third. We are of Mexican origin, but we lived in the U.S. for almost 12 years... I feel the re-adaptation to Latin America is a challenge, for me now. For the US we are too Latino, for Latin America we are too Americanized. So, now I am reinventing myself and enjoying the discovery of a new culture. It is similar to Mexico, but not quite the same.
I have two young boys ages 5yrs and 9mo.
My basic needs are set now. We found an apartment, a school for the 5yo, a gymboree, and someone to baby sit if I need it. Now what I need help with is to start my academic career here. I just finished a PhD in Educational Leadership and I'd love to start as an adjunct faculty member at any university or college here. Any idea on how to look for a job in academia here?
