Hi-Index Lenses For Glasses?

Hi expats. So I have a very strong eyeglass prescription, and in the States I get hi-index lenses for my frames so that I don't have to walk around with the proverbial coke bottles. Returning to Argentina from New York in two weeks and am wondering if any similarly vision-impaired folks can tell me if optical stores there routinely have hi-index lenses? Or do I need to get them here? Thanks much!
