I agree. I think probably everyone in the forum is curios what the salary is: pesos paid in Argentina, or US dollars paid abroad.

Can we clarify this a bit more please?
The captioning will be of US news stations and the voice recognition software will generate the captions (in English I presume), with human input for novel words etc.
Surely therefore any native English speaker could handle that, in which case, I would be interested in learning more.

I once interviewed for a company that did subtitling for videos in Buenos Aires. The pay was $40 per hour which works out to about $6000 per month, full time. Definitely not a salary that's worth 40 hours a week for a native speaker. Teaching English now pays $120 per hour.

Depends. I used to make $60 per hour with conversational classes, which everyone who is native here tells me it's very little for a native english speaker. so, depends. Depends on where you are/go, if you're legal here, and what your qualifications are, if you even have any.

Why not simply, native English speakers?

Native speakers from England talk differently than folks in the US.
A car boot is a car trunk, a mack is a raincoat, the lift is the elevator, quid is $$$, etc...
