hotel suggestion for Montevideo

I moved from the art hostel because it was a fly infested dump to here. Huge room, air con, telly, white towels, private bathroom, breakfast and free soap. Only 15 USD more than the Farty SHiostel and worth it.

Highly recommend Ermitage Hotel. About US $80 a night. Nice barrio. Clean. I got a room with an ocean view. Free breakfast in the morning. www.ermitagemontevideo.com

I've stayed at a basic 3-star hotel called the Balmoral. It was about U$50. It's central. Great full breakfast included. Can't remember the address, but you can find it online.
