How do expats feel about the Luigi Mangioni situation?

I’m not talking emergency rooms. I am talking about coverage of life essential medications that are insanely expensive, covering the cost of longer term stays in a hospital as requested by a doctor, coverage of painkilling medication prescribed by a doctor, and on and on. Do your research
I don't disagree with you here. Just pointing out that your comment about being denied for a life threatening illness is wrong. Let's not forget that even when you can get emergency treatment, you are most assuredly going to be bankrupted by the system.

It depends on what type of insurance one has in either country and I think ones primary care physician is really important.

Im guessing the health care system in Argentina is better than in the US.
It depends on your carrier/insurance. I have insurance in Argentina that is not the top of the line insurance but is OK, my Argentine wife has very good insurance but we both pay more out of pocket every year. I have medicare with a plan G supplemental in the US that is fantastic. I trust my primary care physicians in both countries but if I needed some kind of procedure that was half way serious I would head back to the states.
