hi everyone! just moved to Buenos Aires and I love it! but I miss my soaps...does anyone know how to watch online british tv here:confused:

You need to browse via a proxy server. You can do this yourself if you know about stuff like this (but since proxies are often being blocked at the other end you may have to change server from time to time. A site like proxyz.com will have an uptodate list of active servers you can use for free. Or you can subscribe to a proxy service who do all the hard work for you. http://www.tvproxy.co.uk/bbc_iplayer_abroad.tpl was the first one I discovered from Google but there are others.

I am using UKTVAccess for a long time, you pay around 4 quid a month and it's quite good, gives you an IP address which makes you connect from UK, so all the channels are there with no pop ups

by the way you can try expatshield but if you ask me free servers are just a pain...

uknova.com has most stuff. They usually don't have accounts but keep on checking and you'll get one eventually.

Alternatively proxy servers etc....

I put an old computer in my parents house in the UK and go through that

Thanks a lot Adney, uktvaccess is brilliant!
and I agree with you completely about the free proxies.

Better yet here is a link to it.

It's 100% free and lets you watch UK programming.

I don't use it myself but I've heard lots of good things about it from expat friends across the globe.

Never a good idea to recomend software you did not personally install at least once....this software installs other software along with it ..hotspot for one and while a knowledgeable user would be able to remove the additions a less sophisticated user ends up with his pc littered with software that use resources without permission...some free soft ware is ok but really think before recommending test and give all the facts
