I was just quoting Noes and didn't pay attention to the spelling, but since his name is written خمینی‎ in Persian, it would make sense to spell it with "kh." At least that's the standard transliteration for the "خ" sound in Arabic. I'm not very knowledgeable on Persian phonetics.
 
I love قورمه‌سبزی. But I'm not that knowledgeable of Persian cuisine.

I am not at all. But he had been so present in the news while I was a kid, that I knew what his named sounded like, specially the last syllables. I knew his name was khomeINE and not Komenei.

Thanks Joe.I did meam the latest Supreme Leader KHAMENEI.But I was in a hurry and didn't have time to google.Unfortunately I had forgotten about the rather frantic oneupsmanship game played by certain BAEXPAT posters.Nonetheless,the upshot is that the U.S.-Iran agreement will bring about no immediate effect on the one with Argentina.
