How Is Aerolineas Now?

I flew Areolinas fairly often until 2000 and was mostly quite satisfied.I stopped during the K years for reasons already well known.
In September I'm going to fly them BA -Bogota--JFK--BA .Avianca had almost an exact fare but with a stopover in Bogota and a 10 hour wait for the Eze connection on the return.
American Airlines fare was off the charts in comparison. Moreover, with the signing of the peace agreement there is a lot of activity in Colombia. They are using great marketing and attractive promotional tourist offerings .The Argies could learn a thing or two from them.

Justo flew from Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia to Eze on AA and was happy. The plane was new, I'm tall but there was good knee room. The flight was 3/4 full, so that was even better. Best part? It left and arrived on time. Would repeat.

Aerolineas argentina always get priority for take off and landing in Arg and very rarely late. If late/ then its something cos of strikes etc at the airport.

I've flown Aerolineas a few times to NY and Miami and actually flights have been good with the giant caveat - they're good if/when they take off. I would never book Aerolineas if you have to be some place at a certain time - they are pretty notorious and rightly so for being late, flights canceled, etc. However their service is good, crew generally is pretty pleasant and their planes were fine.

American really is awful and this is coming from someone who flew them pretty much exclusively and had platinum status with them. And their planes are not particularly nice either.

I travel constantly
My votes go to:
Emirates
Qatar
Turkish
Singapore
I often fly British from EZE to prague via lhr and it's not so bad. Far better than Alitalia or Iberia. Don't even mention aerolineas or air Europa
Us airlines quite bluntly suck!
In South America best is still probably the new Latam
I'm currently in Japan and find Japanese carriers quite good as are many other Asian one, I.e. Cathay pacific, ANA,JAL, THAI
Was not too long ago on Air Koryo from Beijing to Pyongyang like the old Soviet Aeroflot days!
And must confess even though the planes are old although now due to be renewed, airlines in Iran were not bad!
Happy flying✈️

Theres so much talk about how the inflation is biting especially with the dollar losing its value against the peso and how expensive BA is etc. I mean no disrespect but Im amazed at how many people here can afford to fly as much as they do.
