My very much working-class neighbour has lived in Palermo Hollywood for 38 years.
During a chat today she told me they got flooded out several times a year for 36 years. Not just a little water, but metres. They had to move all their belongings to their upstairs floor.
2 years ago Macri fixes the drainage in the Juan B Justo area in Palermo; simple work, problem solved. The first government in 36 years to do anything about an essential work. Yesterday it only reached ankle-height in our passageway, not entering her home.
Needless to say she will be voting Macri in anything that he puts himself forward in- it's the only effectual influence any government has had on her life here in nearly 4 decades.
