How Much Rain Did We Get Today???

Just heard on the news like 145mm in the last few hours.

Crazy day, toxic clouds of pesticides (our building was evacuated at 11am in corrientes y san martin) & now flash flooding.

If its not that its strikes, city wide black outs, blocking of streets so cant enter the city, massive protests. Just the normal BA life :D

TV says more rain in one hour than total for an average December. Bs As going tropical

So it doesnt flood anywhere else? And the incidence of flooding isnt becoming higher in other places as well ?

Media in shock mode at the moment but will anyone tell me when someone in the local media first "discovers" a link with global climate change

Trouble is that much of the media is too quick off to cover the next disaster - which is ? tree falls on dog?

At least I can read Clarin for a while longer.

A shit load! I imagine that it helped dissipate the toxic cloud. I wonder how toxic the rivers of diluted pesticide are?

Also 7D was neutralized :D

Clarin will always be the most purchased at the News stand

I'm just wondering how much rain we got all day yesterday?

Can you believe people have actually died due to the storms?

Its terrible! But I can believe it, this city is so unprepared for storms and every time there is one it basically shuts down and wreaks havoc. And so I am told (and so I heard on the news yest too), this has been going on for years...

In fact, just last night a mate who worked for the City government was telling me one of the major problems in the Belgrano area was that the chanels? under the ground are overflowing and they are in the process of building a new one, but until then atleast the existing one will continue to overflow!
