How much to live?

How about checking account? I have a BV Bancomer account from Mexico. Do they have this bank in BA?

I've never heard of this bank, but Argentina banks are seperate from branches in other countries.

Even if banks have the same name in other countries, they are not connected.

I've never seen one in Buenos Aires. From what I just googled, it seems Banco Frances is part of the same BBVA Group that Bancomer belongs to and they have Banco Frances here. But as Mini said, you will still have to get a local account.

Not that I read more about "Cruizes" s/he won't need to open a bank account for a stay of 3/4 months. In fact, I doubt s/he will be able to do so anyway.

I think Citi is different in that sense... but I may be completely wrong :)

City here is entirely separate from City in the US. That was the case sixteen years ago, and still is - all they share is the name.

I was thinking more of using a ATM machine free of charge - Not opening another account.

I guess the "jig" is up - cruizes is a MALE - Everyone excited yet? jejeje

I felt a little interogated for a minute!
