Beyond HSBC, Exxon Mobil Corp is mulling bids for its Argentine shale assets as it looks to unwind its bet on the nation’s oil and gas riches. Clorox sold two production plants and brand rights to Apex Capital and revised its full year forecast.

HSBC is actually leaving more than 7 countries around the world, including in Europe and Canada, at this moment to focus on Asia in a long announced strategy. Some years ago it also sold its bank in Brazil to Bradesco.
Nothing personal with Milei or Argentina for that matter.

It's a strategy they have been implementing for years...they left retail banking in the USA as well...and France too... not news really except it's a win for Galicia.
