Hi everyone!

I'm a programmer working remote and I have a lot of files to download/upload/backup.

I know there's free wifi at McDonalds, but speed and file integrity... kind of important and McDonalds isn't going to cut it.

So if you had business you had to take care of online, what would come to mind?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Second to Starbucks for a cafe. The one on Maure y Luis Maria Campos in Las Canitas has an enormous upstairs that is nice to work in.

You could also do a coworking space - but you'd have to pay for it.

Two of the best are

I've used the Galeria Pacifico on Florida St. Safe place to work.

I tried the food court there and it wasn't what I think you're recommending... what part of the mall do you recommend?

This has been something of a thorn in my side for the past couple months, so thanks a ton for array options you've all suggested.

Totally made life easier for me, thank you! :)

Sometimes local coffee shops have decent wifi. I found one in my neighborhood. It's just a question of trying one out.

Look for the wifi sign at the entrance to any cafe. Most cafes with wifi will advertise it on the door, and it's usually pretty good - password and everything. Havanna is usually pretty secure (password and all), though the wifi gives out on occasion.

Try one of the small boutique hotels in Palermo for a coffe or a drink. I recommend "Home" on Honduras 5860 between Caranza and Ravigniani. Safe and fast wifi and the garden/pool area is a plus. Also " Mine" on Gorriti between Armenia and Malabia has a beautiful green spot in the back and great wifi.
