Iguazu Falls With Young Kids

I've been to the falls 3 times and have not see any rain but do take your capes. And I would suggest taking the stroller also. There is a lot to see with no stairs, very accessible.

Besides the waterfall, on the way in or back, you can stop at a beautiful water park in Montecarlo, about halfway between Posadas and Iguazu. It is located right on the Highway 12, and has pools for adults and children, picnicking areas, camping areas and cabins for rent. Small fee for entrance. There is another about 20 miles south of that one, located on a hill and also on the highway 12. Great for kids.

Be careful on Brazil to get an entrance stamp on your passport, or they might give hell on the way out, they will accuse you of being an illegal alien, etc, looking for a bribe. They did it to me and to my aunt (80 yrs old) Get a paper stamped no matter what, insist on seeing a supervisor if neccesary.

I just saw it in the news. 50 new cases of Dengue fever a day.

Be carefull with moskitos, there is dengue and zika.

Also, there are butterlies that bomb you with their eggs and flies that put their eggs under your nails. So, no flip flops (they should use snickers) , no short sleeve neither shorts.

If they get this, medics are clueless at BA, but the solution is to cover the finger with grease and they go out because they cannot breath.

Of course, be carefull with snakes, spiders and pumas.

So, the infrastructure is children friendly but the tropical forest is not.

I had dengue fever once in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 2005. I was sick for almost 2 months. It was hell. For one month, I had to take 2 painful injections on a daily basis.

You couldn't pay me personally to do a trip there now. January in Missiones = hellacious heat. I don't think I'd want a baby outside in that heat. And while I did really enjoy the falls, after a few hours, we had seen pretty much everything there was to see. I think your toddler would probably be bored after a few hours.
