Import Restrictions To Be Lifted

No one is suggesting free trade along the lines of the Menem years, but the situation currently is that trading companies are being held with a gun to their heads in Arg at the moment.
The decision process to allow an import through is arbitrary, full of intentional hurdles and totally corrupt. That's the kind of bureaucracy that was rife in Soviet Russia and is being imposed here in 2015.

We are also in the midst of a global crisis. You don't hear about it much on the news, but the issues happening in Greece and China right now aren't just isolated incidents. They are a part of a much bigger problem, and that is one where people in the developed world (the US and Europe) have huge debt loads, low-paying jobs (if they have one at all!), and no prospects for wage growth. This, in turn, drastically affects demand globally.

Believe me, if the dollars and the demand were there, they wouldn't be limiting imports as they do.

The Keynesians would say that this is not a problem, just print more money and thereby increase "aggregate demand". Problem solved.

Printing money that goes into public circulation would certainly increase inflation, and I support such policies. Unfortunately, that isn't happening in developed countries. Money velocity in the U.S. is at historical lows: https://research.stl...ed2/series/M2V/

Coto is full of cheap Chinese goods, only they're not cheap here and they're the shitty versions that fall apart rather than the better quality stuff they were shipping to other places.

Speaking about products vanishing has anyone seen Danica or Hellman's BBQ sauce?
