In need of a hair stylist

Hello Everyone,

I have been living in Buenos Aires for 7 months now. I must say my last hairstylist (who was recommended by a friend) for several reasons was terrible.

About my hair. I have THIN hair (and for some reason this guy used thinning shears on my hair?!?!). It has been color treated. I am growing my hair out (but now it looks like some 60's-ish mullet concept). I need someone to clean up these ends (his scissors I could tell were not sharp enough to cut hair well), re-shape, and dye my roots/hair.

So, if anyone knows of a good hair stylist who speaks English (which I would prefer this time around) and is experienced with thin, fine, color-treated hair, please refer them to me. Thank you!

I am one of those that recommend Ryan. No, he is not the cheapest but he is REALLY good with colour and understands how hair works. After several *really* bad experiences here, I went to him. He's honest - brutally so - but he can work miracles with fixing bad colour and cuts. IMO, worth every penny.

ETA - he's in Peru until mid-November just as an FYI.

Now that`s a tragedy Perry won`t be talking about..a hairdresser cannot simply leave the country likwe that..his poor clients with grey hairs need touching up regularly:D

Try contacting Nina on this forum - she's Swedish-American, so your English request would be no problem. From what I know, she also does house calls and she's excellent with all things hair - from coloring to haircuts to highlights, you name it.
Suerte ;)

I go to Terrie too. She does a great job!

I've never found a good hairdresser here, have been to many of the recommended ones on expat list, and now I just get it done once a year in London....the highlight stuff here doesn't work, you can sit for one hour with foils in your hair and it just doesn't take! They might as well use yogurt.

Watch out for the extra fees that the salons tack on ie an extra 25 pesos to wash your hair, 30 pesos more to blow dry with a brush, etc.
