Going to Alvear Hospital ( Mental health, acute cases, Warnes st. ) , if you¨re under treatment there , you get medication for the whole week, of course, under indication of a doctor of the house. Going to shock room (emergency , urgency called here ) you get medication for 2 days and so on till you are under treatment there. We are talking psychopharma.
About selling non free sale medication without prescription.... I don¨t know too much conurbano way of life but presuming very different realities between La Lucila and Aldo Bonzi. May be it is as you say, but illegal. And may be it is usual to sell anti bio and viagra, but other medications I dont think so. Try to buy metadona.

Right on... have no XP on Mental Health situations at the Alvear Emergency Psychiatric Hospital .... but antibio and Viagra are sold freely in CABA an Provincia de Buenos Aires except at Pharmacity.

Well metadona and oxycodona is a different story as well other opiates ?

Metadona for Free at Public Hospitals for Cancer PAtients

In this first stage, the methadone will be distributed in the hospitals Roque Sáenz Peña, Juan Alberdi, Intendente Gabriel Carrasco and the Víctor Vilela Children's Hospital of Rosario; the Tornú, Udaondo, Roffo Institute and Lanari Institute hospitals in the City of Buenos Aires and also in the Baldomero Sommer National Hospital, in the province of Buenos Aires, since they are establishments that have an experienced and solidly constituted palliative care team, in addition to hospital pharmacies with technical and human conditions to coordinate the control of said drug.

Looking at the positive side of price increases ... families need to feed children but they MUST buy less fattening foods, cut down on sodas and crackers etc. Water is fine.

However adults should definitely cut their food consumption to lose some kilos, eat less bread and carbos  . Meat once a week is enough..! .. lots of obesity around.

On utilities people should start SAVING energy most locals waste lots of energy. If one unplugs all appliances other than the freezer o_O one can stay below the minimum levels and get a premium discounts.

It is rather appalling (at least to me) that the biggest section in the largest mini-mart in the nearby village is filled with soft drinks, but the parents don't seem to mind as young children are usually given the task of lugging one of the two or three liter bottles home

Anything baked or made with bleached flour and refined (white) sugar (white bread, white pasta, cakes. cookies, facturas, candy, etc.) are off my "edible foods" list.

Locally baked pan casera made with whole wheat flour and no preservatives, whole wheat pasta, traditional oatmeal (sweetened w/raw honey), brown rice, and home cooked beans, peas and lentils are regularly consumed.

So are shredded beets and carrots (mixed together with seeds and balsamic vintager), apples, and mandarin oranges (as often as they are available) and acelga that grows wild near my house.

I haven't eaten any meat in about a year and I've lost all the weight I need to lose as a result. Obesity and smoking are not allowed in my house. So far, all of the dogs have obeyed the rules.

I don't keep any frozen foods or leftovers in my heladera so I almost always unplug it during the night ad usually for about six hours during the day. 1524604017337.png

PS: In addition to RO water, I drink tea, coffee and/or mate on a daily basis, but I don't sweeten them with refined sugar or artificial sweeteners.

I will say one thing being away 5 years I have noticed their is allot more fast food around and the locals show it. I live in a keytone state so all processed food is off limits and I keep carbs limited to a fresh fresh produce items and meat well that is a piece of cake here. I do not allot of suplimenting with spices and I will say one thing ginger is amazing. Especially if work out allot. Water is also very very important we all know it but many do not really consume as they should. But I guess with the mate the locals are for the most part.

More Good news Panaderias report that sales of Bread and Medialunas is down 50%. Bad for the Panaderos good for the consumers, less fattening products...

I am a long term expat here and Argentina today is now more expensive than Australia and USA for nearly all products ( except housing) The biggest shock for me is the cost of food which is at least 4 times dearer in dollars than 2005 . A decent steak dinner in 2005 never was more than US$ 10 now US$ 50 is the norm and some times even more .

You got that right a parilla chicken to go costs $12 here that is insane. You name it, it is expensive. Interesting how the low budget poor deal with it. Rice with eggs and canned tuna, stuff like that to cut eating costs down. But you can save money in small local shops. There is a guy down the street opens his garage every morning and sells fresh produce at about half the price of the super markets. Places like that cost allot less.

Took five others to La Floreada on Beiro in Agronomia near Angel Roffo yesterday. Three of us had lamb sorrentinos, the rest of us had items from the parrilla. Drinks all round and four postres. I had expected the bill to be around AR3K and was pleasantly surprised when I only had to pay AR1,800. I thought that was pretty good.
