Is the Argentine Economy Going to Collapse?

The thing about the export taxes (retenciones) on agricultural products (like soy) is that it isn´t "cooparticipable", that is, it gooes all to the national government and not to the provinces from where the products actually come from. This was one of the complains of the provinces in the conflict.

I still think that the export taxes are quite ridiculous, specially at the level we have.

When you have a devaluation of 300% you need to have some kind of taxation especially with lands with such a high yields. A global income tax is probally the best option but this is hard to archive. Export taxation is easier to arrchive.

If the retenenciones were companied with a good global view to increase production it would be ok, the problem is with the second part not with the first part

A country just can't become a soya-monoculture and with the culture of the Argentines you can only avoid it by pointing a gun on the same Argentines

Are you into Agriculture or you're just throwing "monoculture" out there as a political panflet? I don't personally own fields but just by looking at some investment opportunities or even going through a Rural section of La Nacion I can see that Grapes, Maize, Lumber, and Sunflowers are just as hot.

If any human being of any culture is being held at a point of a gun: Do you believe his IQ goes up or down?

You mentioned increasing production? Would you suggest that brute muscular force is the way to do it in these times, or thinking? And do you think a mind can work by force or decree?

The very same reason "the Culture of the Argentines" is in such state of affairs is because they were held at the point of a gun for most of their history.

Well, as long as there seems to be enough money to buy "fútbol" at a price of 600 million pesos, I guess government finances are doing just fine... Hell, they even used the cadena nacional (they didn't even do that for the mexican flu outbreak).

And Nik had just previously made a joke in la Foto que habla:
Chavez says to Cristina "To our people we must give them bread"
And her exellency answers "Right, because they've had enough circus already"

Well.... seems they need just a little bit more of it!

Seems like an expensive way to make Clarin pay

The president also need a lesson in history, there were little over 8900 desparecidos

Dialogue should be a good start

Cristina & Nestor bought futbol for more control, owning futbol in this country gives you crazy amounts of power to manipulate the people. I doubt the investigation into their personal finances will amount to anything, but my god it would be nice to see them fall.
