Is the Milei "Transformation" Failing Already?

There are too many vested interests in maintaining the status quo.

Peronism will return in a slightly different form and the land owning elite will go back to having cheap government subsided labour.

Argentina’s mineral/agricultural riches will continue to be exported, without adding any value, for the benefit of a few.

Parts of West Africa are reforming more than this place.
Perhaps one solution would be to only apply the export tax to raw materials. Any value added goods and services would be exempt from the tax which is currently 12%. This would make Argentine products and services competitive in the world market and provide jobs and indirect taxable income for the government.

That would be far too sensible and progressive

Obviously there are some people here who were expecting the transformation to succeed already! Clearly they have no idea how economy functions especially when you inherit a mess!

I had no expectations whatsoever, and have yet to see any effort to improve the economy. Yes, it was and still is a mess, but for any changes to happen you need to implement something. That something is missing, so why would economy improve in the distant future? Cutting everywhere has never done anything good for any economy historically, also there are no reliefs, incentives or simplifications, so I don't get from where transformation will come.

the dollar is strengthening now. its at 106 whatever that means
That '106' reflects a basket of currencies that is dominated by the Euro. It does not reflect any of the reality of pesos.....not at all....and when you see the dollar strengthening internationally and at the same time not doing better here.....it makes you wonder what would happen if the dollar were losing value in the world.
