Is there a better way to get pesos than Western Union?

Mystery solved. No difference whatsoever.

If I get a Dollar from Uruguay and convert it to pesos ,,,,, current arbolito rate is 1285.

If I stay home in BsAs and WesternUnion myself a Dollar ,,, current WU rate is 1288.

Doesn't make any sense going Uruguay. Strictly from the economic sense. (Not to mention the huge risk carrying large sums of cash across borders and wasting a whole day)

Bottom line ,,,,,, WU rate = arbolito rate.

For a big item purchase Uruguay is not better than WU.

Is there a better way for $10000 US?

What about the WU commission ? and the Buquebus fare et.al.

Exactly.
If everything goes right and nothing goes wrong and after discounting the Buquebus fare ,,etc ,, the reward definitely will be less than 10 pesos per Dollar.

It's not worth it for me to take that risk and waste and hassle a whole day for less than a 100 bucks ,,, if any at all.

I need $10000 US for purchase of one big item and was wondering if WU/Uruguay could result better rate than WU/Argentina.
