Keep On Wishing.

OK, I'm gonna look like those dumb guys on forums saying "I said it so months ago duuudddeee!" but that's OK, I can handle it.

Are all the Americans on this forum sure the Obama doesn't have such a power? (I asked without any answer, might search again... Usually, when I ask such a question, it's because I already have the answer :p but I don't have it, while I'm sure I read something in this sense from a reliable source somewhere)

This article "might" be wrong, but I'm biased since nowadays "journalists" don't even know how to spell correctly for the most part (applies to my country, and I guess this applies to the US too)

Well ... this American does not know the answer but would be appalled if this or any other President did such a thing.

Greg Palast (works for the BBC) is certainly not perfect, but we need more guys like him (I'll spare you pics of kids from Congo dying of hunger, partly because of local corruption, partly because of those Vultures).

But if borrowers don't pay their debts they, and other borrowers, will have trouble borrowing in the future. That can lead to dying children too. If Greg Palast is worried about dying children in the Congo he should be encouraging his readers to donate to charities who will feed children in the Congo. He might encourage Christina to do so.

US asked their Supreme Court to order Texas not to execute a Mexican national, per ICJ obligations. Supreme Court said no. Google José Medellín, Edgar Tamayo, Humberto Leal Garcia, etc.

The very notion that the executive branch can simply overrule a court decision is simply incredible for anyone who's been brought up on the US system.
(I'm talking about legally, of course, not discussing ways in which the govt. can or does skirt or ignore the law).

Maybe something similar to a presidential pardon? Will try to find again that info (not sure it was really a pardon).
Anyway, now that CFK has criticized the US Justice system, it's unlikely such thing would happen indeed.

Her latest scapegoat is the Donnelley terrorists: http://tinyurl.com/p6g5sqw

Are they IRA, then?
Xtina thinks that every democratically elected president rules by decree. These morons travel about the world, they should look around a little more and realize how small minded and stupid they look to major league players.

Lets take this one more step. Even if Obama had this magical power and could use it to free Xtina from her obligations. WHY would he do it. She has consistently insulted him and the US. Given the national finger to the US, Britain, France and most of her neighbors and now squats on the steps of the White House looking for "Trick or Treat" candies. This woman has serious mental issues.

In the US, the presidential pardon power is a specific constitutional power: http://tinyurl.com/o9pv5dv

That said, it gets relatively little use, most notoriously when Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon.
