Does anyone know how long it takes to drive to Lima, at night, taking back roads to avoid checkpoints?

I believe it is three days by bus - it is 4,043 kms. According to Ruta Cero, it takes 49.2 hours, and 404 liters of gas.

Looks like you have a chance at a repatriation flight LIM-BUE on 12JUN.

From Argentina to San Paulo, the most infected city in Brazil, the country with the second highest number of CoV fatalities in the world. Talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

Brazil’s government has stopped publishing a running total of coronavirus deaths and infections in an extraordinary move that critics call an attempt to hide the true toll of the disease.

The move came after months of criticism from experts saying Brazil’s statistics are woefully deficient and in some cases manipulated, meaning it may never be possible to gain a real understanding of the depth of the pandemic in the country....
