I've imported several items from the states. I worked with www.skybox.net, they're excellent with Argentine customs.

have you ordered something as large as a lcd tv?

a little update on 42" lcd's

The two tv's 2 months on are now no longer $4499
Rodo have theirs at $5099 although they do have 4 other 42"s at $4999 now
and
Falabella has theirs at $4999 and seem to have a 40" one at $4799

compumundo have one at $4799

Fravega seem to be bucking the trend and actually have one at $4299
although it may be without IVA

LCDs are nice but you might really want to consider an LED. I don't care for the 3D version but the regular LED units are great. Also pay attention to the cycles or refresh speeds.

I would advise you to look for a local brand. I bought mine for 2999 pesos. It's branded Rubber Ducky but it's done its job for a year now. No issues found.

It's a 42 inch screen made in Tierra del Fuego.
