I'm going to be living in BsAs for the next 2 years and would appreciate suggestions for medical insurance.
I'm 70 and in good health.

I believe being 70 Hospital Italiano will take you. There have been changes recently but the new law is not regulated so most companies are not taking new affiliates over 65.

All the prices and any other numbers mentioned in these threads have definitely changed, as may have the qualification of new members, but otherwise the plans haven't changed substantially in the last several years. For both of these questions, you'll need to speak with a representative. Phone numbers are easy to find on the web.

I received my Medicus "bill" today. The price increased to $698 pesos per month for full coverage with the "expat plan" discount. I will be 62 on May 29. I know I was paying less than $500 pesos per month for the same coverage a couple years ago, but the increase in price has nothing to do with age.

I should have said that I'll be living in La Plata. So I'll need medical insurance with providers there. Any recommendations?

Most of the major carriers - OSDE, Galena, Swiss Medical, Medicus, etc. - have a national presence. You can check their websites to see what facilities and providers ("cartilla de prestadores") they have in La Plata.

Even though Medicus does not have an office or clinic in Punta Alta or Bahia Blanca, I have access to doctors, lab services and pharmacies accept my Medicard and give me the 40% discount and my premium is $698 pesos per month (with the expat group plan).

You can get full coverage with Medicus for even less in CF if you only use their clinics (which are very good),but you still need to enroll in the group plan to get this rate.
