Yet because of Ms Lewinsky and the ensuing Republican persecution, Clinton is now an embattled hero of the left, instead of being seen for what he really was: the right wing's greatest asset for implementing neoliberalism and imperialism.

While we're comparing present and past presidents, I assume that all those describing Obama as a clown have far worse to say about the war criminal George W Bush.

It does confound me the baexpats rule book on past comparisons. Just so I can get this straight it is verboten and irrelevant to compare the Kirchners with previous administrations, as it is to compare crime or inflation in Argentina with previous years but it is kosher to say at least Obama or the pope were better than the last boludo we had when one has run out of arguments.
