Monotributo and obra social

Hello!

What’s the deal with the obra social and monotributo?

I had one back in 2020 and remember I just chose a random one and paid a fractional amount.

Is there anyway to avoid it? I don’t need one as I have one through my other half.

Not looking for a debate - just insight if I can opt out.

I think you can state that you want to keep your current health insurance
and arrange for the amount paid through monotributo to be redirected and applied toward your existing coverage.
Then it will basically get counted as part of your premiums.
