Darins boom started in 2000s. Hes a good actor but not the best. I liked him in the best argentine movie of the last 20 years, el hijo de la novia. Other interest argentine movie from the 90s are Tango Feroz and Cenizas del Paraiso. I strongly recommend those. Cheers.

Hijo de la Novia is pretty maudlin. Nueve Reinas says a lot more about Argentina.

Good story, well acted, good direction.

Yop watched it and liked it (but its esthetics is very 1980ish, with the use of the saxo, etc.)
